Most actors in New York know that July and August are the slow season in the city… auditions seem to dry up, and industry people are all taking vacations (those that aren’t too busy to leave the office). With a record number of television series shooting in NYC this fall, it’s a great time to update your marketing materials… get new headshots made, put together a great postcard, and get in gear on all the correspondence you’ve been putting off. If you’re not auditioning, at least attack the business side of things… especially that five year old black and white head shot your agent has been hounding you about.
