by Jessica on February 17, 2010

In addition to your TVI consultant these would be great tools for actors to use if you have an iphone you can check out all you need to know, on the new application actor genie. It has casting notices, a top ten area; it even has helpful hints from managers, agents and casting directors. Other [...]

The World From Your Eyes

by Nicholas Paulos on November 10, 2009

Your photo has seconds to catch the eye of an agent or casting director, and your eyes are the most important part of creating that special spark of imagination, as casting agents, producers, and directors pool over thousands of photos, looking for that special someone to call in for the role. Wardrobe plays a major [...]

The amount of energy it takes the body to break down a juicy steak, as delicious as it is, is the equivalent of running a marathon, OK, maybe I am exaggerating, but its allot. Meat weighs you down, I always tell my LA actors to stay away from red meat for a day or two [...]

Talking with actors in both LA and New York, I keep hearing the same refrain: I can’t afford new headshots!
Times are tough, and actors have to pay for everything from classes, to gym memberships, to office supplies, and beyond… headshots are another item on the budget list, and high quality inexpensive headshots are hard to [...]

I put a new post up on my website exploring what an actor would need to shoot his or her own headshots. There are definitely times when this would be acceptable (I’ll go over that in a future post), but this particular post covers what you would actually need in order to shoot a professional [...]
